About The Everton Foundation

Registered as a charity in 2004 The Everton Foundation has been operating since 1988; and is the official Everton FC charity. The Everton Foundation have a vision: ‘To educate, inspire and provide opportunity locally, regionally and nationally using the power of football’.

Since its inception The Everton Foundation has grown to become one of the biggest providers of football for the disabled and delivers a wide range of innovative programs to a wide range of groups. Such programs include The Healthy School Bus and The Safe Place Appeal - a partnership with the NSPCC helping to raise money to help change the lives of the regions’ most vulnerable children.

The Everton Foundation has a number of pioneering projects:

  • The School Based Development Activities open to all schools in the area the best recognised of these being the Healthy Bus aiming to raise the benefits of healthy eating and an active life style.
  • The range of Disability Awareness and Empowerment programs has become a world leader in its field from a successful football team structure to unique mental health football.

The Kickz program

The Kickz program has been developed to help reduce antisocial behavior through football and is part of the socially inclusive activities aimed at those affected by homelessness and addictions including refugees and asylum seekers.

In 2008 The Everton Foundation formed a partnership with Shanghai to deliver a 3 year coaching program to develop disability football in that province and nationwide in China.

As part of a development for Women and Girls’ Football a dedicated development officer has been appointed to organise soccer camps and encourage females of all ages to participate in football leading to The Everton Ladies Team.

This work has led The Everton Foundation to be one of the world’s leading active football charities.
